Child & Youth Development

El Concilio California’s Child & Youth Development Department supports children, youth, and families from early childhood through adolescence. Our programs focus on education, parenting support, and youth engagement to help children develop the skills, confidence, and resilience they need to succeed in school and in life.

We partner with families to create nurturing environments where children can learn, explore, and reach their full potential.

Helping children grow, families thrive, and futures take shape.

Our Child & Youth Development programs are grounded in a whole-child, family-centered approach. We recognize parents and caregivers as a child’s first and most important teachers and work alongside families to support healthy development, learning, and well-being.

Supporting Children at Every Stage

Early Childhood Development Centers

Strong foundations for brighter futures.

El Concilio California’s Early Childhood Development Centers provide comprehensive early education for children from infancy through preschool. Our licensed centers offer nurturing, play-based learning environments that support physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.

Our programs use the Creative Curriculum, a research-based approach that encourages exploration, discovery, and critical thinking while preparing children for kindergarten and beyond.

Home Visitation & First 5 Programs (Ages 0–5)

Supporting families where learning begins at home.

Our Home Visitation and First 5 programs provide personalized support to families with young children, helping parents, caregivers, and grandparents build nurturing and healthy home environments during a child’s most critical developmental years.

Certified parent educators work one-on-one with families to offer guidance on child development, emotional well-being, and healthy living practices. Families also have access to interactive workshops designed to empower caregivers with practical tools and knowledge.

These programs are designed to ensure children have the strongest possible start in life while supporting families with culturally responsive, relationship-based care.
